Louis Schmidtlin

Louis Schmidtlin currently serves as the Group Chief Procurement Officer at CMA CGM, overseeing procurement across divisions including Shipping, Terminals, Logistics, Air, and Media. Prior experience includes the role of Group Purchasing VP at CMA CGM, managing a $15 billion yearly spend in marine and logistics procurement. Louis previously held the position of Alliance Global Director for Costing & Controlling at Renault-Nissan Alliance, where a comprehensive costing organization was developed. A former Chief Procurement Officer at Arkema, Louis established a global purchasing organization and implemented sustainable practices. Additional roles include Purchasing GM at Dongfeng-Renault and various positions within Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, focusing on raw materials and chassis parts. Louis began a career in manufacturing management at Renault/Flins after graduating with an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec and completing the CEDEP Global Management Program at INSEAD.
