Josef Korbinian Vogt is a seasoned expert in integrative systems biology, currently serving as Director at Clinical Microbiomics since June 2021. Previously, Josef held the position of Assistant Professor at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, where research focused on diabetes, patient stratification, and the personalization of diabetic nephropathy treatment through data integration and machine learning. Prior experience includes Assistant Professorship in Metagenomics at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where investigation centered on the interplay between human genome expression and gut microbiota in chronic metabolic disorders, as well as global antimicrobial resistance surveillance and the identification of wheat rust effectors. Additionally, Josef's academic journey includes postdoctoral research and a PhD at DTU, along with earlier education in biotechnology and process engineering.
