Gabriel Ivascu has an extensive and varied work experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Currently, they serve as the Director and Business Unit Leader at CMC Electronics, where they manage a business unit with over 150 employees and oversees the delivery of complex engineering services and products to Aerospace and Defense customers globally.

Before joining CMC Electronics, Gabriel worked at Bombardier for several years in various leadership roles. These roles include Director of Program Management and Product Development Engineering for Challenger Programs. Gabriel also served as the Director of New Product Development for Challenger and Global Programs, Manager of New Product Development, and Sr. Program Manager for Challenger Programs.

Prior to their time at Bombardier, Gabriel gained experience at Esterline CMC Electronics as a Software Engineer and Scrum Master in the Aviation Products division. Gabriel also worked as a Cost Engineer in Advanced Systems Engineering.

Gabriel's earlier career includes roles at Rheinmetall Canada Inc. as a Project Manager, Ubisoft as a Software Engineer, and École Polytechnique de Montréal as a Research Associate and Lecturer in Mobile Networking Technologies.

Gabriel started their professional journey at Ericsson Canada as a Research Engineer, where they conducted research on mobile and wireless networking protocols and led process improvement efforts.

Throughout their career, Gabriel Ivascu has demonstrated their expertise in program management, engineering, operations, and finance, along with their ability to deliver innovative solutions and lead teams effectively.

Gabriel Ivascu holds a B.Eng. degree in Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, completed in 2005. Gabriel furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from HEC Montréal in 2014. Additionally, they received the certification of Professional Engineer (PE) from Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec in 2013.
