Zilmar Cardoso

Zilmar Cardoso is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in the steel manufacturing industry. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at CMC since March 2022, Zilmar has a strong background that includes roles as Corporate Senior Technical Consultant at Gerdau North America and Electric Arc Furnace and Scrap Yard Day Supervisor at Nucor Corporation. Prior to these positions, Zilmar held various managerial and engineering roles at Gerdau North America, contributing to significant CAPEX projects, including enhancements to the Scrap Yard and Continuous Caster Machine. Zilmar holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
