Margaret Isa Butler

Margaret Isa Butler is a seasoned professional in the fields of mergers and acquisitions and private equity, currently serving as a Partner and Co-leader of the Financial Services Industry Team at BakerHostetler since April 2022. In addition to this role, Margaret holds the position of General Counsel at cmorq, Organized Blockchain Data, and is a Co-Founder of BrashNYC and Founder of War Chest Women, LLC. Previously, Margaret has held partner roles at Armstrong Teasdale LLP and Ice Miller LLP, as well as a shareholder position at Greenberg Traurig, LLP. Margaret began their career in investment banking at Jefferies & Company and has also worked in various capacities at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. Margaret's academic credentials include an MBA and a JD from Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School, respectively, along with an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University. Margaret has also contributed as a member of the Advisory Board for the Private Equity Program at Columbia Business School from July 2012 to June 2016.
