Patrick Thornycroft

Patrick Thornycroft is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in research and management. Currently serving as Chief Engineer and Head of Research & Strategy at CMR Surgical since June 2017, Patrick has held various roles including Versius Special Programme Manager and Staff Research Engineer. Previously, Patrick was Chief Technology Officer at WOO Sports from August 2014 to May 2017 and contributed as a Product Development Engineer at Harvard University’s Lauder and Aizenberg Laboratories. Early career experience includes positions as Engineering Analyst at an Energy Storage startup and Engineering Intern at First Quantum Minerals LTD, as well as a role as Socio Economic Survey Manager at Addax Bioenergy. Patrick holds a degree in SB Engineering Sciences, specializing in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University, completed in 2012, and attended Shrewsbury School from 2006 to 2008.
