Dr. Nagahanumaiah

Dr. Nagahanumaiah serves as the Director at the Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) since July 2018 and holds the position of Adjunct Faculty at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) until October 2024. Previously, from November 2011 to July 2018, Dr. Nagahanumaiah was a Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, teaching graduate-level courses in Micro Systems Technologies and Electro-Mechanical System Design, while supervising eight PhD research scholars. Dr. Nagahanumaiah spent two decades at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute as Chief Scientist, and additionally served as Visiting Research Faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007-2008. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Manufacturing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, a Postgraduate Degree in Tool Engineering from GTTC (Indo-Danish Tool Room), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University.
