Alison Kaufman

Alison Kaufman has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Alison worked as a Principal Research Scientist at The CNA Corporation, where they directed research projects on Asian foreign and security for government and military clients. Alison also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton-Harvard China and the World Program, conducting archival research on Chinese foreign policy during the republican period. Additionally, Alison spent several years as a Lead Graduate Student and Graduate Tutor at the McNair Scholars Program, assisting first-generation, low-income, underrepresented college students in their research projects. Alison worked as a Research Consultant for Monitor 360, providing research reports on various topics for government clients. Alison also taught as an English Teacher at the Education Program for Gifted Youth, Stanford University, and held various teaching positions at the University of California, Berkeley. Alison Kaufman's education history begins in 1990 when they attended Harvard University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Studies. Alison completed their undergraduate studies in 1995. In 1992, they briefly enrolled at China Capitol Normal University in Beijing to study the Chinese language.

After a few years, Alison furthered their education and attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1998 to 2007. During this period, they pursued a Ph.D. in Political Science.

In 2006, Alison had the opportunity to study the Chinese language again at the International Chinese Language Program in Taipei. The duration of this program seems to have been for one year.
