Barry Kennedy

Barry Kennedy, PhD, currently serves as Principal Research Scientist at Dalhousie University within the Giacomantonio Immuno-Oncology Research Group. With a focus on advancing cancer therapies through precision immunotherapy, Barry integrates laboratory discoveries with clinical applications. Previously, Barry held roles at IMV Inc. as a Research Scientist, overseeing the Phase 2 AVALON trial and contributing to several other oncology trials. Barry's academic journey includes positions as a Research Associate and University Lecturer at Dalhousie University, and postdoctoral research experiences that enhanced expertise in cancer immunotherapy and metabolism. Barry earned a PhD in Biochemistry at Dalhousie University, preceded by a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Microbiology & Immunology.
