Brent Richardson

Brent Richardson, PE has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Brent currently works as a Principal Research Scientist at CNA Corporation. Previously, they served as a Contingency Engineer Planner at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), where they held responsibilities for planning and managing construction projects. Brent also worked as the Deputy Director of Engineering at Naval Forces Europe, SIXTH Fleet, overseeing a team in the development and construction management of various projects. Brent gained experience in production management as a Production Officer at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC), where they maintained the operation of multiple facilities. Brent also served as an Instructor at the United States Naval Academy and Company Commander/Assistant Operations Officer at NMCB 11. Additionally, they worked as a Construction Manager at Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) and a Resident Officer in Charge Construction at the US Army Corps of Engineers. Brent'searly career includes serving as a Surface Warfare Officer aboard the USS MAHAN.

Brent Richardson, PE has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Ocean Engineering, which they obtained from the United States Naval Academy between 1999 and 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of Rhode Island from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, Brent has obtained several certifications. In June 2012, they became a Navy Diving Officer after completing training at the Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center. Furthermore, in June 2013, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification. Recently, in May 2020, they completed a Business Analytics for Decision Making Certificate from the University of Colorado.
