Nick Woods

Nick Woods is a Scientific Analyst at CNA, providing analytical support to the HQMC Deputy Commandant for Combat Development & Integration since August 2013. With a background as a Senior Research Scientist in the Expeditionary Warfare Program and multiple roles as a Field Representative, Woods has extensive experience in naval exercises, undersea warfare, and operational assessments. Previously, Woods worked as a Postdoctoral Investigator at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT/WHOI Joint Program, earning dual PhDs in Physical Oceanography from both institutions. Woods holds a BS in Physics and Physical Oceanography from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
