Scott Merkley

Scott Merkley currently serves as the Risk Control Director at CNA Insurance, a position held since May 2019, where responsibilities include assessing and improving business and operational risk for clients across various industries. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Risk Control Consultant and Risk Control Consultant at Travelers from June 2011 to May 2019, focusing on operations improvement and risk analysis in collaboration with underwriting staff. Earlier, Scott worked as an Associate Research Engineer at ADA Technologies, Inc. from May 2007 to June 2011, coordinating complex testing for prototype fire suppression systems. Scott holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution.
