Tim Murray

Tim Murray is a legal professional with extensive experience in technology and commercial transactions. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President & Assistant General Counsel at CNA Insurance since June 2019, Tim advises senior leadership on critical agreements necessary for the company's technology evolution and mentors junior lawyers in technology transactions. Previously, Tim held roles such as Associate General Counsel at Morningstar, where legal support was provided for significant acquisitions, and Senior Counsel at Louis Dreyfus Commodities, focusing on business-critical technology agreements and training legal teams. Tim's earlier experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel for The Nielsen Company, managing legal matters across multiple regions and negotiating substantial data agreements. Tim holds a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Vassar College, along with experience as a Water & Sanitation Agent with the Peace Corps.
