Tony Butler-Sims has extensive experience in human resources and administration roles. Tony started their career at AFSCME, where they served as an Assistant Director of Human Resources and later as a Records & Policy Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for recruiting, compensation management, HRIS administration, and conducting investigations into employee misconduct.
After their time at AFSCME, Butler-Sims worked at MVM, Inc. as a Director of Labor & Employee Relations, focusing on employee relations and labor issues.
Tony then joined Cardno Emerging Markets as the Director of Human Resources & Administration, where they led the development and implementation of HR initiatives, managed benefits and compensation programs, and ensured compliance with laws and regulations.
Currently, Butler-Sims is working at Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), where they have held several roles including Director of Global Human Resources, Senior Director of Global Human Resources & Administration, Vice President of People & Culture, and Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer. Tony Butler-Sims has a strong educational background in business and behavioral sciences. Tony holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services from The George Washington University School of Business. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Behavioral Sciences from Central Texas College.
