Chris Licht is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CNN Worldwide. He was named to the post in April 2022. Licht oversees all operations at the global network.

Most recently, Licht served as Executive Vice President of Special Programming at CBS, a position he held since May 2016. In that role, Licht consulted on various forms of content for divisions across the network. In addition to this role, Licht served as executive producer and showrunner for "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" -- the most-watched program in late night television since 2017. In 2021, "The Late Show" earned its first Peabody Award. It also won an Emmy Award for "Stephen Colbert's Election Night 2020: Democracy's Last Stand Building Back America Great Again Better 2020."

Licht graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communication with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and political science. He is a member of the Newhouse Advisory Board.
