Karen van Every

Karen Van Every is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in user experience and product design. Currently serving as Senior Director of Design at CNN since July 2021 and as an Adjunct Professor in the Integrated Digital Media Department at New York University since January 2020, Karen brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles including Vice President of UX Design at Goldman Sachs and Product Design Leader at Betterment. With a strong foundation in UX research, branding, and design, Karen's career highlights include leading diverse design teams and managing significant projects for notable clients such as HBO, Morgan Stanley, and TIAA-CREF. An alumnus of the University at Buffalo with a BA in Communication Design, Karen's professional journey also includes founding Serimony, a successful wedding invitation business, and various freelance projects across several esteemed companies.
