Jennifer Shumaker

Jennifer Shumaker has a diverse work experience in the behavioral health and social services field. Jennifer is currently the Senior Director of Program Operations at CNS Healthcare, where they oversee the delivery, development, and planning of clinical programs and daily operations. Jennifer manages a team of directors and program managers, handles internal and external communications, engages with the community, and manages a budget of $43MM. Prior to this role, Jennifer held the position of Clinical Programs Director at CNS, where they managed the department budget and oversaw revenue generating functions. Jennifer also worked as the Interim Chief Clinical Officer, providing oversight to all clinical programs within the organization. Before joining CNS Healthcare, Jennifer worked at Community Network Services as a Program Manager and Integrated Care Lead. Jennifer also has experience at SOS Community Services as a Family Services Coordinator, Housing Access Worker, and Employability Worker. Jennifer's early work experience includes an internship at The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan where they worked as a student intern and psychotherapist.

Jennifer Shumaker earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2012. In 2015, Jennifer also attained a Certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
