Dan Powers

Dan Powers has extensive experience in community affairs, nonprofit leadership, and communication strategies. Powers served as the Community Affairs Manager at Boulder Chamber from 2004 to 2011, advocating for policies affecting the Boulder area's economic vitality. Currently, Powers is the Executive Director of both CO-LABS, a nonprofit consortium promoting Colorado's leadership in scientific research, and The Society for Science at User Research Facilities, focusing on public access to research facilities. Powers has also been the Owner of Powers Writing Service since 2000, providing communication solutions, and previously owned TripData, which specialized in customized travel experiences. Additional roles include Community Relations Coordinator at Western Disposal and Executive Director at Boulder Tomorrow, where Powers facilitated economic advocacy and strategic communication. Educational background includes a BA in Environmental Conservation from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MBA Certificate in Sustainable Business Leadership from Green Mountain College.
