Colleen Bastian

Dr. Colleen C. Bastian achieves business results through applying psychology principles to support her clients reach their greatest potential. Colleen is the President of Invoke Leadership, a consulting firm serving global leaders both in small, privately owned organizations to large Fortune 100 corporations. She focuses on increasing leadership capabilities of top talent leaders to perform at their highest level. Colleen is known for her strong presence and ability to hold reflective space with her clients to increase their self-insight and awareness. Her clients appreciate her unique ability to strike the balance between support and challenge to stimulate their growth and development. Colleen's services include: organizational and executive assessment, leadership, group, team development and coaching, and customized leadership and diversity & inclusion workshops.

To assist her clients in achieving long-term behavior change by leveraging her knowledge of human behavior (e.g. group dynamics, personality, vertical/development/ adult development, motivation, and organization behavior) and experience to drive change. Vertical development/adult development is important for helping leaders build capacity to gain new perspectives and grow in an increasingly complex and fast paced world. She partners with leaders while they are practicing new behaviors. Development goals and leadership effectiveness are measured by a triangulation of data: how the leader feels about their development, her own perception, and a survey of stakeholders. She works with the leader to build their sounding board and trusted advisors who can continue to support the leader’s needs beyond the engagement.

She is a focused individual and athlete. She has competed in Ironman Brazil, The Chesapeake Bay Swim, Swim Miami 5K, among others. Colleen previously dedicated her time on the Leadership Council of the Society of Consulting Psychologists (Division 13 of the APA) as Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is passionate about working with diverse leaders.
