Amanda Rego has been working in the sports industry since 2013. Amanda began their career as a Sales Associate at JackRabbit (formerly Running Specialty Group). Amanda then became a Professional Runner for both Hoka One One and Oiselle. In 2015, they were hired as an Assistant Women's Cross Country & Track Coach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Amanda then moved to JackRabbit (formerly Running Specialty Group) in 2016, where they served as an Assistant Store Manager and Senior Sales Associate. In 2018, they became a Private Running Coach for CoachUp and a Junior Olympic Cross Country Coach for USA Track & Field. Additionally, they worked as a Personal Trainer at the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and a Women's Assistant Track Coach at Colorado College in 2019. Most recently, they were hired as an Associate Head Coach Men's & Women's Cross Country and Track at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2021.

Amanda Rego obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sports Management from Florida State University between 2009 and 2013. Amanda has also obtained a number of certifications, including a USATF Level 1 from USA Track & Field in August 2022, Program Management TFA: 402 from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in July 2020, Track & Field Technical Certification TFA 251 from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in April 2020, USTFCCCA Strength & Conditioning TFA 310 from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in August 2019, Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in November 2018, and CPR/AED from the American Heart Association.
