Program Director-emergency Medical Technology at Coahoma Community College

Rhett Nelson, BBA, NRP, FP-C, CCP-C, NCEE, currently serves as a Medical Student at Oceania University of Medicine since July 2020 and is pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree. In addition, Rhett has been the Program Director for Emergency Medical Technology at Coahoma Community College since 2012, responsible for managing budgets, hiring employees, and teaching paramedic and EMT courses. Previously, Rhett worked as a Flight Paramedic at Hospital Wing of Memphis from February 2010 to October 2015 and has held the status of a Nationally Registered Paramedic since 1997, with advanced certifications as a flight paramedic (FP-C) and critical care paramedic (CCP-C). Rhett Nelson holds a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a focus on Insurance and Real Estate from Delta State University and completed basic sciences while working towards a Doctor of Medicine degree at Saint James School of Medicine in 2007-2008.
