Ruth Cruz

Ruth Cruz is a seasoned professional in healthcare cybersecurity compliance with extensive experience in risk management and IT governance. Currently serving as the Director of Healthcare Cybersecurity Compliance at Coalfire since January 2022, Ruth specializes in assisting healthcare organizations and cloud service providers in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks while ensuring compliance with standards such as HIPAA and HITRUST. Prior to this role, Ruth was an IT Risk Advisory Senior Manager at BDO (May 2017 - January 2022), where Ruth focused on enhancing organizations' security posture. Ruth also held the position of Senior Manager in Advisory Services at EY from July 2004 to May 2017, delivering strategic consulting solutions across various industries. Ruth holds an MBA in Information Technology from Pace University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
