Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure
Dr. Kopal Verma is an experienced consultant in the field of disaster management and climate resilience, currently serving as a Consultant for External Events at the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure since January 2024. Previously, Dr. Verma held roles as a Member of the Programme Committee for the 6th World Congress on Disaster Management in late 2023, and as a Consultant at the Ministry of External Affairs, India, from November 2022 to October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior Consultant in Climate Resilience at the National Institute of Disaster Management from April 2021 to November 2022. Dr. Verma holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the School of Environmental Science at Jawaharlal Nehru University, complemented by an MS in Environmental Science from the same institution and a BS in Chemistry from Miranda House College, Delhi University. Additional education includes a certificate in Atmospheric Sciences from Université Grenoble Alpes.
