Paul Athikalam

Paul Thomas Athikalam is an experienced professional in the field of civil engineering and disaster resilience, currently serving as an Analyst for Technical Studies at the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure since August 2023. Paul has held a significant role as a UN Volunteer Researcher at Morobe Development Foundation Inc. since June 2020 and has been engaged as a Research Scholar at the National Institute of Technology Calicut since December 2018. Previously, Paul contributed as a Project Based Volunteer at Sustera Foundation and completed an internship at LEGI Grenoble. Early experiences include a Summer Research Fellowship at the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services and a Rural Exposure Fellowship at Bharat Calling. Paul holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut, a Master of Technology in Integrated Coastal Zone Management from Université Grenoble Alpes, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.
