Susanne V. Slater serves as the President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia since February 2022, having previously held the same title at Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. from October 2011 to February 2022. Slater is also a Board Member of the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development since 2020 and has been the Board Chair of the Housing Production Trust Fund Advisory Board at the DC Department of Housing and Community Development since 2016. Slater's extensive experience includes leadership roles in nonprofit housing advocacy, strategic planning, budget operations, and development. Academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from Cornell University and a BA in English Literature, Cum Laude, from Smith College. Prior roles include positions as Associate Dean for Executive Programs at the University of Maryland, Legislative Aide for Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, and Financial Economist at the White House Office of Management and Budget.
