Joel Bergenfeld FACHE has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Joel has held various leadership positions, including CEO, President, and Owner, at companies such as Avanti Hospitals, Balboa Health and Education Associates, and Balboa Health and Education Assoc. Joel has expertise in operational improvement, financial turnaround, compliance, and market growth. Joel has also worked with distressed acquisitions and bankruptcies, as well as board, community, and labor relations. Additionally, Joel has served as a board consultant at California Cryobank and has experience leading complex public healthcare systems out of bankruptcy. Joel has successfully renovated and reopened hospitals, implemented state-of-the-art digital systems, and has extensive knowledge in daily operations, quality, strategic planning, and marketing.

Joel Bergenfeld FACHE pursued their education starting in 1968 by obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from UCLA, where they studied the diverse aspects of human behavior and mental processes until 1971. Following this, they attended California State University, Northridge from 1972 to 1974, where they completed their Master of Science degree in Health and Hospital Administration, focusing on the management and administration of healthcare facilities.
