Betsy Biemann

Betsy Biemann serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Enterprises, Inc. (CEI) since May 2016, focusing on community development in Maine and rural U.S. regions. Previous roles include Aspen Institute Job Quality Fellow and Project Director for the Growing Maine's Food Cluster initiative at Harvard University. Betsy has extensive experience in economic development, having been President of the Maine Technology Institute and directed philanthropic strategies at the Rockefeller Foundation. Educational background includes a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in History of Science from Harvard University, supplemented by an Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders from Stanford University.
