Tanya Thomas

Dr. Tanya Thomas is an experienced professional in mental health counseling and education, currently serving as the Executive Director and Head Start Director at Coastal Plain Area E.O.A since February 2006, and as President of the Georgia Head Start Association since January 2016. Dr. Thomas holds a Doctor's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, completed in March 2020, as well as a Master of Science in the same field from the same institution, awarded in 2015. Additionally, Dr. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of South Carolina in 1991.
