Ross Cavitt

Ross Cavitt serves as the Communications Director for Cobb County Government since September 2017. Previously, Ross held various roles at WSB-TV from January 1994 to September 2017, including Reporter, Bureau Chief, and On-Air Meteorologist from 2004 to 2006. Prior experience includes positions at WFTV from 1988 to 1993 as a Television News Reporter, Brevard Bureau Chief, Morning News Anchor, and General Assignment Reporter, as well as a News Reporter at WHNT News 19 and WAND-TV from 1984 to 1987. Ross received a Master's Degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield, a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University.
