James Jang

James Jang is an experienced Sr. Research Chemist at COBURN TECHNOLOGIES, INC. since April 2011, specializing in the testing and development of coatings for ophthalmic lenses and exploring new material formulations. Prior to this role, James served as a Senior Material Scientist at Gerber Scientific Products, focusing on the development and commercialization of UV printers. James also held the position of Senior Chemist in the R&D Department at MARKEM Corporation, where commercial UV-ink-jet formulations were developed, and three patents were filed. James began a postdoctoral research associate role at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, working on the synthesis of monomers for cationic polymerization. Educational achievements include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Philipps-University Marburg, a Diploma in Chemistry from the same institution, and a Bachelor of Agricultural Chemistry from Kon-Kuk University.
