Laura McGuffie

Laura McGuffie, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Laura currently holds the position of Assistant Vice President of Workplace Services at COCC since July 2022. In this role, they oversee the Office Services internal support team and provides strategic oversight of the Digital Communications department.

Prior to their current role, Laura worked at COCC as the Manager of Workplace Services from November 2014 to July 2022. In this position, they managed multiple Corporate Service initiatives, including employee engagement analysis and strategy, as well as corporate space planning.

Before joining COCC, Laura worked at GGP as a Common Area Associate from March 2013 to November 2014. Their responsibilities included asset management, forecasting, account reconciliation, contract management, and tenant coordination.

In 2012, Laura held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Warner Theatre, where they were responsible for comprehensive event and institutional marketing, sales and financial reporting, budgeting, and cost accounting. Laura also supervised several functional areas, including sponsorship, business membership, box office, group sales, call center, and creative services. Prior to this, Laura worked as the Box Office Manager at Warner Theatre, overseeing events, ticketing, and patron services.

Laura started their career as an Administrative Assistant III at Hartford Life Insurance from March 2005 to October 2006. Laura then worked as an Office/Marketing Manager at Wolcott Garden Treasures from April 2007 to September 2010.

Laura's earliest work experience includes the role of Legal Secretary & Seminar Coordinator at Howd, Lavieri & Finch, LLP from May 2002 to February 2005.

Throughout their career, Laura has demonstrated their skills in management, strategic planning, financial analysis, and administration. Their experience spans various domains, including banking technology, retail, entertainment, and law.

Laura McGuffie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Providence College in 2003. Following this, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration at the University of Hartford from 2003 to 2005.
