Suraj Kamal

Suraj Kamal is a Lead Technology Engineer at Tata Elxsi, with experience as a Researcher at Cochin University of Science and Technology, where ongoing Ph.D. studies are being pursued. As a Project Scientist, Suraj has investigated deep learning applications for underwater imaging, developed DNN models to enhance optical images, improved HMM-based classifiers for passive sonar, and created algorithms for blind source separation of underwater acoustic signals, all under various DRDO-sponsored projects. Prior experience includes roles as System Architect and Research and Development Engineer at Quark Cybernetics, leading projects in embedded systems, and an R&D Engineer role at M-Squared Systems, focusing on security systems for industrial applications. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electronics and a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Electronics.
