Elizabeth Farias Elsasser has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Elizabeth started their career in 1986 as an Internal Auditor at Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas). Elizabeth later worked as an Accounting Supervisor at Crown Zellerbach Corporation, where they were responsible for managing a team and overseeing financial statements. From 1991 to 2002, Elizabeth worked as a Controller at Consolidated Converting Company, handling financial reporting and various other responsibilities. In 2006, they became a Substitute Instructional Assistant at Contra Costa County before joining CocoKids in 2008. At CocoKids, Elizabeth held multiple roles, including Director of Finance, Account Manager, and Controller. In these positions, they guided financial decisions, developed budgets, and ensured compliance with legal contracts and agencies.

Elizabeth Farias Elsasser completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from California State University, Long Beach, where they studied from 1981 to 1986.
