Zishanul Hussain

Zishanul Hussain is a Modeling Research Intern at CCI, specializing in Fire and Egress Modeling and utilizing tools such as FDS. Previous roles at CCI include Project Consultant, focusing on methods including ASET vs RSET, CONTAM, Pathfinder, and CFD. Zishanul served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, contributing to research on human perception of smoke and flame cues during early fire development, as well as a Teaching Assistant for an advanced fire suppression course. Zishanul's background includes internships and summer positions at CCI, where work involved CFD analysis and various fire modeling projects. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Manager at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, overseeing critical infrastructure projects to enhance fire safety and operational efficiency. Zishanul holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fire Protection from the University of Maryland and previously earned an MS in Fire Protection Engineering and a BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
