Michael Hughes

Michael Hughes is a Software Engineer at Code for Boston, currently working on the HEAT Calculator project to assist consumers in calculating home energy consumption using the EPIC Stack. Prior to this role, Michael served as a Desktop Support Specialist at Apex Systems, where new computer hardware changes were implemented and an average of 100 customer issues were addressed weekly. Michael's experience also includes serving as a Customs and Border Protection Officer at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, where technical documentation was authored and security controls were monitored to ensure compliance and a 100% processing rate. Earlier in the career path, Michael worked as a Delivery Driver for Domino's. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security from Virginia Commonwealth University and completion of a program at Fullstack Academy.
