Marco Sanchotene

Marco Sanchotene has 10 years of professional experience, beginning with their role as an International Assistant at Europe Japan Centre in 2010. Marco then worked as a Media Analyst at Metrica, a Blogger Activation at Unruly Media, and a Content Analyst at Ringgold Inc. In 2015, they were an Intern at TIVIT, where they worked with Java, JUnit and SQL and was involved in process analysis, software use cases and software test cases. In 2017, they became a Test Engineer at Wipro Brasil, where they worked with Java, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium and SQL to perform manual and automated testing for web apps and APIs of the frauds prevention team of Mastercard. In 2019, they began working as a Test Automation Engineer at Wiley, where they worked with Python, Pytest, Selenium and SQL to increase product and functional coverage by adding hundreds of automated tests to the existing test suite for acceptance testing. In 2021, they worked as a Software Development Engineer In Test at CI&T, where they worked with Playwright, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript to perform manual and automated testing for web apps and APIs of a large client in the fast moving consumer goods industry in North America. Marco also worked as a Test Automation Engineer at Zyte (formerly Scrapinghub), where they worked with Python, Pytest, Selenium and Robot Framework to increase the test coverage by adding tests to the existing test suite for existing and new features. Currently, they are a Software Development Engineer In Test at Codenotary, where they work with Python and Pytest to perform manual and automated testing for command line interface (CLI) tools and is increasing test coverage by adding automated tests for existing and new features.

Marco Sanchotene has obtained three degrees throughout their educational career. Marco earned a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from Universidade Federal do Paraná between 2014 and 2017. Marco then obtained a MA in Culture, Arts and Contemporary Subjects from Universidade Positivo between 2006 and 2007. Finally, they earned a BA in Social Communication - Journalism from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná between 1998 and 2001. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: Certified Tester Foundation Level from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in March 2020, and an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 8.0 score from IELTS Official in June 2017.
