Marissa MacAvoy is a Research Associate III at Codexis, Inc., since August 2020, where responsibilities include supporting life science and industrial enzyme evolution projects, designing and constructing libraries using CodeEvolver® technology, and evolving proteins in multiple host organisms. Prior experience at Codexis includes roles as a Chemistry Intern and Molecular and Cellular Engineering Intern, where skills in HPLC, enzyme characterization, and molecular cloning were developed. Marissa also served as a Residential Assistant at Stanford University, assisting over 200 residents, and has a background in teaching dance and lifeguarding at Emerald Lake Country Club. Marissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Stanford University.
