Agata Villiger-Oberbek

Head of External Operations and Clinical Supply Chain at Codiak BioSciences

Agata Villiger-Oberbek has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. Agata is currently serving as the Head of External Operations and Clinical Supply Chain at Codiak BioSciences since March 2022. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing end-to-end clinical supply operations, managing CMO contracts, and onboarding new vendors. Prior to Sanofi, Agata worked at EPFL as a PhD student and research assistant from 2006 to 2010. Their research focused on the design and development of a method for rapid generation of stable manufacturing CHO cell lines using lentiviral vectors. Agata successfully identified stable, high-expressing clones in just 2 days post-gene delivery.

Agata's earlier experiences include an internship at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, where they worked in the Laboratory of Transcription Regulation. Agata also had an internship at the University of Central Lancashire, where they conducted research in neuro-endocrino-oncology.

Agata Villiger-Oberbek has an extensive education history in the field of biology and biotechnology. Agata obtained their BSc in Biology from the University of Warsaw in 2003.
