Stefany Bales

Stefany Bales has extensive experience in communications and public relations. Stefany has worked as the Director of Communications & Community Relations for Coeur d'Alene School District #271 since 2023, where they are responsible for communication planning, community engagement, and brand management. Prior to this, Stefany served as the Regional Director for U.S. Senator James E. Risch from 2020 to 2022, where they attended community meetings, managed relationships with media sources, and advised senior staff members. Stefany also worked for the University of Idaho from 2013 to 2020, initially as the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, leading a team of 60+ in various areas, and later as the Director of Integrated Communications overseeing university-wide communications. Additionally, they held roles such as the Director of Corporate Communications at Coeur Mining, Inc., Vice President of Communications at Pac/West Communications, Regional Director for U.S. Senator Michael D. Crapo, and Vice President of Communications at Intermountain Forest Association earlier in their career. Stefany'sexpertise includes crisis communication, media relations, and brand management.

Stefany Bales completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, General from Elmira College between 1986 and 1989. Stefany further pursued their education at the University of Idaho, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Public Involvement, Public Policy, and Public Relations from 1993 to 1996.
