Jim Arnold

Jim Arnold serves as the Legal Director for Global Corporate at COFCO International since May 2018, overseeing the global corporate legal function. Previous experience includes roles as Senior Legal Counsel at COFCO International, where responsibilities encompassed corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and institutional financing. Before this, Jim worked as Corporate Legal Counsel at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company focusing on international M&A and corporate strategic projects. Jim's legal career began at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where valuable experience was gained in corporate M&A and advisory projects. Jim's early professional experience included a role as a trainee solicitor, providing insights into various legal fields, and as a researcher and software developer at Legal Technology Research, which involved legal analysis and software development. Educational credentials include a BA (Hons.) and MA (Cantab.) in Law from the University of Cambridge, along with an Accelerated LPC from BPP Law School.
