Marcel Lorenz has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Marcel is currently the Founder & CEO of Coffee Annan, a company focused on roasting coffee in the country of origin to increase its value and support coffee-producing countries. In 2020, Marcel was also the Division Manager Healthcare & Electronics at ATP adhesive systems AG. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at ETH Zürich from 2015 to 2019 and as a Predoctoral Fellow at Aalto University in 2015. Marcel's earlier experience includes working as a Product Developer at tesa SE, where they developed heat activated films and polymer hybrids, and as an Apprentice (laboratory technician) at Beiersdorf AG. Overall, Marcel Lorenz has a strong background in research, product development, and leadership roles.
Marcel Lorenz began their education in 2010 at Technische Universität Berlin, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Chemistry in 2013. In 2013, they further pursued their studies by attending Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, where they were a Bachelor's degree candidate and focused on their bachelor thesis, which involved synthesizing hybrid nanoparticles based on polyethylene.
Marcel then continued their education at ETH Zürich, where they obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from 2014 to 2015. After completing their Master's degree, Marcel attended Imperial College London in 2015 for a brief period; however, the details of their degree and field of study during that time are unknown.
Marcel's educational journey ultimately led him back to ETH Zürich, where they pursued a Doctor of Science degree in Chemical & Bioengineering from 2016 to 2019.
