Tammy Hughes FCIPD has a strong work experience in various roles and industries. Tammy began their career at Boots UK in 1987, starting as a general assistant and progressing to become a Branch Manager. During their last three years at Boots UK, they worked as an Implementation Manager, responsible for implementing a new staff scheduling system across the country.

Tammy then joined Tesco in 1995, where they held roles as a Training and Development Manager and later as a Personnel Manager. Tammy worked in these positions until 2002.

From 2002 to 2003, Tammy worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Somerfield, where they were part of a project team working on an HR database project.

After that, Tammy took on the role of Regional Human Resources at Littlewoods PLC, advising and supporting two Regional Sales Directors and managing HR principles for 48 stores. Tammy also worked with USDAW Trade Union to create an agreement between Littlewoods and USDAW.

Tammy joined Bunzl plc in 2006 as the Human Resources Director for Bunzl Cleaning & Safety. In this role, they directed all HR activities within the business, reporting to the Managing Director.

In 2019, Tammy joined Clarks as the People Experience Director - Corporate. Tammy started as their European Head of HR and was later promoted to the Corporate People Experience Director. Tammy worked closely with the Finance, IT, Supply Chain, and Transformation departments, developing people plans and initiatives to support the business goals.

Most recently, Tammy joined Coffee#1 in 2020 as their Head of People. Tammy partners with the Managing Director and senior leadership team in designing, implementing, and executing the business strategy and the people plan.

Throughout their career, Tammy has demonstrated their expertise in people management and strategic HR planning.

Tammy Hughes FCIPD has a diverse education history. Tammy attended Therfield School from 1984 to 1988, where they completed their High School education. In 1998 to 1999, they attended Merton College and studied Business Studies. From 2001 to 2018, they pursued a Degree in CIPD at DMS.
