Erik Ordaz Alvarado has a diverse work experience in quality management and engineering roles. Erik started their career at Aptiv in 2012, where they worked as a Production Engineer, responsible for maintaining a smooth production flow and leading production teams for various projects, including Cadillac, Ford, Chevrolet, and Caterpillar. Erik also oversaw material sourcing and packaging to ensure uninterrupted production. At Aptiv, Erik later became a General Quality Supervisor, where they ensured the quality of materials and products, collaborated with national and international suppliers, and led teams of quality engineers and auditors. Erik also supported sister plants in the region and implemented benchmarking improvements.

After their tenure at Aptiv, Erik joined MD ELEKTRONIK GmbH in 2019. Erik initially served as a Quality Engineer IV, responsible for overseeing the performance of the quality team throughout the manufacturing process and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. Erik managed a team of five process quality engineers and 54 employees and provided production reports and personnel records for operational decision-making. Later, they took on the role of Quality Coordinator, leading a quality team that included engineers and auditors. In this role, their responsibilities included controlling key process indicators, such as PPM, SCRAP, and customer complaints, as well as developing and supervising PFMEA, leading 8D processes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Most recently, Erik joined Prysmian Group in 2022 as a Process Quality Engineer. In this role, they focused on process quality and engineering, ensuring the quality control of data cables. Erik will soon transition to their upcoming role as a Data Cable Quality Manager at COFICAB Group in 2023.
