Nicolò Franchi

Chris Nicol is an experienced engineer specializing in electrical and firmware development. Currently serving as an Electrical Engineer at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris contributes to a cross-functional team focused on creating collaborative solutions, including hardware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris held the role of Firmware Engineer at the same company, developing crucial firmware and diagnostic tools. Prior experience includes working as an Electronics Contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities involved electronics design for educational devices, and as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, where circuit design and software development for forestry control systems were key duties. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
