Nura Askar

Nura Askar has had a diverse range of work experiences over the years. Nura started their career at Deutsche Bank as a Business Management professional, where they conducted control tasks and monitored teams. Nura then moved on to TECOM Investments as an MBA Intern, where they produced a concept document for developing Dubai's video game industry and assessed investment opportunities in game companies. Nura also worked at John Molson School of Business, Concordia University as a Consultant, facilitating focus groups and performing strategic audits for various clients. Nura then joined Bombardier Aerospace as a Business Analyst, Manager of Strategy and Business Planning, and Manager of Commercial Strategy & Transformation. In these roles, they developed transformation programs, restructured sales processes, and formulated globalization strategies. Nura later worked at Deloitte as a Senior Consultant, focusing on human capital and technology, where they led implementations and conducted training for Agile transformations. Nura then joined /N SPRO as a Change Management Lead before transitioning to Blue-mark Management Consultants as a Senior Consultant, where they designed and mobilized operating models and change management solutions for clients. In their most recent role, Nura worked at Hatch, starting as a Senior Engagement Manager before becoming the Global Director of People Development and later the HR Director and Business Partner for the Project Delivery Group. Their responsibilities included talent management, succession planning, and the formulation and execution of people strategies. Currently, Nura is serving as the Vice President of Human Resources at Cogeco Connexion.

Nura Askar completed their education at York University in 2021, earning a degree in Human Resources Management. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA in Strategic Management from Concordia University between 2007 and 2009. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Webster University Geneva from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration with a Certificate in Marketing and also studied International Relations. In addition to their formal education, Nura has obtained certifications including Core Strengths facilitator from Core Strengths, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) in progress from the Co-Active Training Institute, and PROSCI Change Management Certification from Prosci Canada, ULC in 2017.
