Alexandra Born

Alexandra Born is a Senior Scientist in Structural Biology at Cogent Biosciences since October 2022, bringing extensive experience in the field. Prior to this role, Alexandra served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco from September 2021 to October 2022, and as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from August 2016 to July 2021. Earlier in their career, Alexandra worked as a Project Assistant in the University of Rochester Biology Department and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Alexandra holds a PhD in Structural Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, completed in July 2021, as well as dual undergraduate degrees—a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, both from the University of Rochester, earned in 2015.
