Benjamin Exter has extensive experience in the field of pharmacovigilance and risk management. Benjamin is currently serving as the Vice President of Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management at Cogent Biosciences since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Consultant at Pharmacovigilance Strategic Services, LLC starting from August 2020.
In the past, Benjamin held various leadership roles at Unum Therapeutics. Benjamin served as the Vice President and Head of Pharmacovigilance and Risk Management from May 2019 to August 2020, and as the Sr. Director of Clinical Sciences from August 2017 to April 2019.

Benjamin Exter pursued their education at Northeastern University from 2001 to 2007, where they completed a Pharm. D. degree in the field of Pharmacy. Following this, from 2007 to 2009, they attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences for a Biogen Idec Post-Doctoral Fellowship. During this fellowship, Benjamin focused their studies on Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, and Marketing.
