Leo Andres has a diverse work experience, starting in 2000 as a Contract Intranet Developer for Genband, where they developed and maintained corporate intranet applications. From 2006 to 2014, Leo worked at Emory University, first as a Sr. Research Project Coordinator, coordinating research projects focused on pesticide exposure and risk, and later as a Research Projects Manager, being the Subject Matter Expert for the development of the Request and Progress Information Database (RAPID). Leo then joined the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Research Developer, programming scripts for data collection and manipulation for the Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC). In 2016, Leo worked at Apex Systems as a Software Developer, where they programmed applications in JavaScript, Python, and MariaDB, acquiring new skills in ReactJS, Django, Docker, React-Redux, and Agile. Leo then moved to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2017, working as a Senior Programmer Analyst until 2020. Since 2020, Leo has been working as a Data Engineer for Cogent People Inc.
Leo Andres has a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Global Environmental Health, which they obtained from Emory University from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology, with a minor in World Religions, at Loyola University New Orleans from 1995 to 1999. In addition to their academic qualifications, Leo has also obtained certifications in Agile Requirements Foundations from LinkedIn in March 2020, as well as a Basic RiderCourse RiderCoach certification from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation in September 2014.
