Mark Betham has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Mark is currently the Head of Operations at Cognassist since January 2023. After completing their A-Levels in Pure & Applied Mathematics and Physics at South Tyneside Technical College from 1989 to 1991, they pursued further education in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, obtaining a BTEC ONC from the same institution from 1991 to 1993.

Mark then attended Northumbria University from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained a BTEC HNC in Computing. Continuing their education, they enrolled in Portman College in 2001 and completed the NEBS Introductory Certificate in Management in 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Mark has also obtained various certifications. Mark became a Certified Netware Administrator for Netware 3 in October 1996 and achieved the same certification for Netware 5 in April 1999. Mark also obtained the Certified Netware Engineer certification for Netware 5 with electives in BorderManager & NDS Design in December 1999.

Mark further expanded their certifications by becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for Windows NT4 in August 2000. Mark later obtained the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification for Windows NT4 with electives in Exchange 5.5 & Proxy 2.0 in April 2001. Mark's final certification is the ITIL Foundation, obtained in July 2006.
