Marcus S. Lingenfelter

Chief Policy Officer at Cognia

Marcus S. Lingenfelter is the Chief Policy Officer responsible for building productive relationships and communicating Cognia’s continuous improvement and quality assurance capabilities to governmental stakeholders and clients. He has more than two decades of PK-20 education experience, including policy, programmatic, and campus-based service. Most recently, Marcus previously served as senior staff for Edmentum, National Math and Science Initiative, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and Widener University. He also served on The College Board’s original state government relations team. His non-profit service includes Vice Chair of the East Stroudsburg University Council of Trustees, Past President of the Pennsylvania Association of Councils of Trustees, and Chair of the Association of Defense Communities Education Task Force. Marcus enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after high school and later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science with honors from East Stroudsburg University, a Master of Education from Penn State University, and a post-graduate certificate from the Harvard Institute for Educational Management (IEM).
